It seems references System.Net.Sockets in some way? Is there a way to remove this dependency for us Unity3D users

Hey guys, I am using Json.Net which works great for my project but I cannot use it on Android without a Pro android license. The DLL seems to have some dependency on System.Net.Sockets. I know you can't just rip something out and expect it to keep working - but if it ment loosing some features that aren't useful in my project, I wouldn't mind. I just can't figure out where the references are.

Yes it is. I am digging through the source code trying to find this issue and all variations of Json have one of the three problems.
  • Compiled against .net 4
  • Use System.Net (really ? Why ?)
  • Use Reflection.Emit
In the mean time you can use LITJson.
